ØOMO invites young and emerging artists to propose one existing or immediately feasible work for exhibition on 29 August 2026 at Kalemegdan. Selected works will become part of the festival’s art programme.

WHY ART AT ØOMO
ART IS NOT AN ADD-ON.
ØOMO brings music, visual art, place and audience into one shared experience. We are looking for works that do more than occupy space: works that trigger a response, shift how the site is read and enter into dialogue with Kalemegdan and its visitors.
WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR DECORATION. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CLEAR IDEA, AN AUTHORIAL VOICE AND A WORK THAT CAN LIVE IN PUBLIC SPACE.
WHO CAN APPLY
OPEN TO THE NEXT VOICES.
The call is open to adult young and emerging visual artists from Serbia and the region. Students, independent artists and collectives are welcome; gallery representation and previous festival experience are not required.

THE SITE
OPEN. PUBLIC. PROTECTED.
The work will be presented outdoors in a public festival environment at a protected heritage site. It must be conceived for real conditions, not only for a white cube.
SITE
No anchoring or intervention that can damage Kalemegdan is allowed without prior approval.
TECH
Declare dimensions, weight, installation method, power, sound, projection and all equipment.
SAFETY
No open flame, toxic materials, unstable structures, exposed sharp edges or audience hazards.

SELECTION
HOW WE CHOOSE.
ØOMO selects works according to the published criteria. Final participation is confirmed after a technical review and written agreement with the selected artists.
WHAT SELECTED ARTISTS RECEIVE
SPACE, SUPPORT + VISIBILITY.
- Exhibition space within ØOMO Music & Art Festival
- Installation coordination with the ØOMO team
- Artist credit across festival communications
- Photo and video documentation
- Two festival tickets
Transport, special equipment, additional fabrication, insurance and other costs are agreed in writing before participation is confirmed.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS.
01Does the work need to exist already?+
Yes. Submit one existing work or a work that can be produced immediately and safely within the available time.
02Can a collective apply?+
Yes. Independent artists, students and collectives from Serbia and the region are eligible.
03Are digital and video works eligible?+
Yes, when power, projection, playback and weather protection can be agreed with the ØOMO production team.
04Who covers transport and special production?+
Transport, special equipment, additional production and insurance are agreed in writing before participation is confirmed.
05What happens to copyright?+
You retain copyright. You grant ØOMO permission to use credited reproductions for the promotion and documentation of the call and festival.
